About the campaign

In the quiet town of Bree dark
shadows
 stir.

A weary hunter stumbles into the Prancing Pony with a tale of ancient stones, a cursed hill, and the growl of something long thought buried in the dark. From Lady Gilraen comes a call to arms: travel north, into the lonely downs and forgotten ruins of Rhudaur, to seek the truth.

What begins as a simple journey soon leads to haunted hills, a village laid waste, and whispers of a queen of wolves — a creature whose fangs once drank deep on the battlefields of Angmar.

Will you turn back before the shadows close in, or stand fast against the Fang of the North?

Meet the Companions

Geira

Daughter of Gautarr

You were just a baby when Smaug the Terrible fell on Lake Town, and you have no memory of escaping the fire and marching to the Vale, where Bard the Dragonslayer became King. You do know the story though, as told countless times by Gautarr, the King’s Seneschal, your father. It is a story you love, a story of valour, hardiness and courage: The story of your father and your folk. Not yours.

Regin Stonefist

the Blacksmith

You have scant memories of your father. He was a travelling blacksmith who would be home only at Yule, bringing gifts and telling all sorts of wondrous tales. One winter, he did not come home — you were told that he had died, struck by a poisoned arrow near the Goblin-gate.

Fimbrethil

of the Heavens

Centuries spent among the shelves and scrolls of the High King’s Library in Mithlond have worn you down — your search for lore left you drained and feeling as old as the earth itself. But before forsaking Middle-earth forever you decided that, at least once, you wanted to see with your own eyes some of the things you learned about in books.

Duinhir

‘Eaglenose’

Not many years have passed since you began your ranging among the woods and hills of Eriador. Sometimes you travel with fellow Rangers to benefit from their experience, but often you journey alone, especially when visiting the settlements of common folk to buy supplies or gather news.
